Here's the truth about 'belonging' as a healer...

“We don't need to follow prescriptions to be pure angels, or wild rebels, wearing capes, riding tigers and copying other guides - or partaking in other 'quick fix' strategies - to become successful healers. We must be everything we are. The beautiful, paradoxical soft, wild magic of our truth - we can be it *all.* There's no choosing between seemingly opposing aspects of ourselves.”

- Nicole Barton

We often begin a journey into opening to our magical gifts with a 'perception' of what it looks like to be a "healer" - and some fear about 'belonging' in that community.

There are so many 'quick fix' narratives out there to reinforce that there's 'one way' - a way that we have to be, in order to 'belong' in the world.

It's conditioned. Perhaps it is even a story of: "Don't be a healer/witch at all, that's "too woo'" - as we find ourselves donning our corporate mask one more time to fit in, or contorting ourselves into a life we no longer fit in, so that we stay safe. Not really knowing *where* we fit any more.

And we're so used to doing that, that even when it comes to owning the title of 'healer', we begin to imagine that maybe we don't even fit into the 'healer' box that the constructs of our minds have created.

We wonder, "what if I don't fit there, either?!"

So we look for how to fit into that world:

'You must be super soft, pure and earthy' they say, as we contort ourselves into the version of us that we think we need to be, denying our wild

'Dress like a Goddess' they say, as we adorn ourselves with feather earrings that will *surely* get us to where we long to be

'Polarise people with your rebellious opinions', they say, as we begin to ostracise everyone we know by riding a tiger and shimmying our 'bad ass' at everyone who disagrees

'Copy me', they cry, as we blindly give up our own wisdom and identity, and follow them, putting them on a pedestal as if they know more or have more power

'Learn this next tool', they call, as we think we just need one more qualification before we truly step in.

Yet sadly, there are very few - very few - telling us the *truth* about 'belonging' as a healer.

The truth that it is our unique and true *authentic expression* that is really a Remedy for others.

It is our particular unique flavour of MAGIC that activates and heals the world

We don't need to follow prescriptions to be pure angels, or wild rebels, wearing capes, riding tigers and copying other guides - or partaking in other 'quick fix' strategies - to become successful healers.

(In fact that's exhausting).

Universal healing law, 'similia similibus' says:

We just need to become more fully *OURSELVES*.

We need to learn how to decondition ourselves and become who we really are - free of the taming that *even* exists in the ideas we hold of the 'Healer' archetype herself.

It is the wild, multi-faceted expression of our fullness that has us 'belong' as healers.

We must be everything we are. The beautiful, paradoxical soft, wild magic of our truth - we can be it *all.* There's no choosing between seemingly opposing aspects of ourselves.

We can be wild *and* soft *and* loving as a healer.

Magical. Wild. Powerful. Loving. Tender. Soft. Earthy.

We can be any version of " h e a l e r " we want to be.

As long as it is TRUE to ourselves. That's where the real medicine is.

For us, and for others.

And that may, or may not, at some point involve reclaiming lost parts of you that got fragmented in trauma - the soft and earthy parts, or the fully expressed feather-earring wearing parts, or the speaking polarising truth parts, or the parts that have the same underlying purpose as others -

But those things aren't "The Way", if we are following prescription.

"The Way" is the full reclaiming of our unique wild souls. Our true expression.

So that 'like can cure like'.

It really depends on what our soul came here for and which aspects of our unique Remedy are here to be expressed.

But what I do know is:

NO ONE can serve healing for YOUR people like YOU and your full, unique expression can...

That's why you already *belong* in the world as a healer.

You were *born* a healer.

And *no one* else is coded with your unique healing signature.

That's a gift - are you willing to walk into the fire and own it, beauty?
